“From start to finish, Christian has shown a rare degree of precision and professionalism in his work.
On top of that, Christian has a unique ability to stand on the client’s side, which has meant a high degree of confidence that our needs were understood from start to finish. The project was carried out without friction and exactly on the agreed delivery date. The site we have now is incomparably better than the one we had before.”
The engagement
In the order it happened, eight weeks from kickoff to launch.
My role
The strategy and the whole build in Shopify: the theme, the configurator, the retailer area, the move from WordPress and the setup of payments, shipping and Google Analytics, up to the hand-over of the store. The design, the copy and the translations are AKVA’s own.
Strategy
A review of the old site and of what the new one had to do. AKVA was moving to Shopify, the same platform as sister brand RYE, and the focus became the German market and the retailer network. The site also had to tell how the beds are made.
Shopify
The theme set up to AKVA’s own design, with sections for text, images, product lists and the video on the front page. Each part comes with a guide to where it is edited.
The webshop
Care products, accessories and water mattresses can be bought online in Denmark, and the mattresses have a configurator where the price follows size and stabilisation. In countries where AKVA has retailers, the products show without a price and point to the nearest one.
Professionals
An area in the same store that only shows for a retailer who is logged in, with a code sent by email. It holds guides, videos, images, brochures and the logo pack, both in one place and on each product.
Launch
The files from the old portal moved across, the old addresses sent on to the new ones, and Google Analytics and Search Console set up. Then the store was handed over to AKVA, with guides for the translations.
The site
As a visitor sees it today, on a screen and a phone.
